The Tanner Hill Joyous Home is a premium residential care home offering 117 beds. The environment is spacious and comfortable, with a particular emphasis on residents’ privacy, providing ample, welcoming areas for daily activities. The Care Home maintains a staff-to-resident ratio that exceeds the requirements set by the Social Welfare Department. A multi-disciplinary team provides high-quality and holistic care services to support residents’ physical, psychological and social well-being, fostering a care environment that truly feels like home.

The Care Home actively introduces innovative services and harnesses gerontechnology to meet the evolving needs of the older adults. In addition, a diverse range of training programmes and activities are designed to help delay the physical and cognitive deterioration of older adults.

Spacious and Comfortable Environment

• Spanning three floors, the Care Home covers over 40,000 square feet. A central atrium extends through all three levels, complemented by floor-to-ceiling glass panels on all sides. This design allows natural light to fill every corner of the home and enhances the overall sense of openness.

• Each floor features 18 rooms, providing accommodation for a total of 117 beds. Residents enjoy generous living and activity spaces. Every room is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and toilet, which helps reduce the risk of infection transmission. The Care Home also incorporates several innovative features, including reusable antiviral and antibacterial textiles, a Negative Pressure Isolation Room and buffer zone, all dedicated to providing a safe and hygienic living environment for residents.

Rigorous Air Quality Control

The Tanner Hill Joyous Home implements a series of stringent measures to safeguard the health of residents and staff, having consistently been awarded the Indoor Air Quality Certificate (Good Class) by Environmental Protection Department for many years:

• In collaboration with the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI), antimicrobial plastic water bottles free of biocides and Super HEPA-grade Air Purification Media are used in skilled care areas, which can effectively filter airborne pollutants;

• A medical grade b-Mola NCCO air treatment system is adopted to simultaneously absorbs and decomposes airborne contaminants, providing excellent sterilisation and deodorisation;

• The ventilation system is equipped with ‘UVC germicidal lighting’ for fresh air intake, and ‘high intensity ultraviolet’ output, eliminating mould, germs and viruses;

• The auto-navigation and mist-disinfection robot patrols and sanitises every corner on a daily schedule.
