Located on the 6th floor of The Tanner Hill in North Point, the Tanner Hill Joyous Circle Day Care and Training Centre is supported by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of social workers, nurses, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and healthcare workers, provides holistic, high-quality daytime care and training services for older adults in the community, focusing especially on those who are frail or living with cognitive impairment. By having their needs attentively listened to, they are helped to regain confidence and vitality in a safe and comfortable environment, enabling them to enjoy a fulfilling and dignified retirement.
The centre was honored with the “Facility of the Year – Day Care Centre” at the 11th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards, organised by Ageing Asia in 2023. Often regarded as the 'Oscars' of the aged care sector, this award represents significant recognition from the industry.
Our experienced multi-disciplinary team designs personalised programmes tailored to each older adult on their physical condition and individual needs. These programmes cover daily living, social engagement, recreation activities and rehabilitation training, with a strong emphasis on communication and trust-building. This ensures continuous care is supporting both physical and emotional well-being for the older adults.
At the same time, the team maintains strong connections with carers, with timely emotional and other support being provided to alleviate their burden and stress. Through this comprehensive and sustained approach to holistic care, older adults are enabled to enjoy their golden years within their familiar community.
A multi-disciplinary team consisting of nurses, social workers, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and healthcare workers, provides holistic care and tailored trainings to support older adults in maintaining optimal mobility, developing their potential, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

The training activities are designed based on the concept of “5 Senses and 2 Motions”, through stimulation of the five senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch) and two motions (cognitive and physical), supported by gerontechnology. Tailored to address the specific needs of older adults, this programme enhances their engagement and participation, and thereby helps slow functional decline.
From Monday to Friday, a variety of themed activities are offered, ranging from handicrafts to singing and from gardening to emerging sports. Seasonal and festive events are also regularly held, allowing older adults to train and learn through games, improving their communication and social skills while building confidence and fostering an active social life.
Themed activities include:
Developing Social Connections: Older adults are encouraged to participate in diverse small-group activities, creating opportunities for communication and interaction, helping them to meet new people and build friendships.
Gerontechnology Interactive Zone: Companion robots and interactive rehabilitation equipment are incorporated to facilitate leaning and training through games, combing practice in a fun and enjoyable way.
Emerging Sports Zone: Emerging sports such as handball, darts, Mölkky, and competitive cup stacking are offered to train hand-eye coordination and support the delay of cognitive decline.
Multi-Sensory Experience Corner: A variety of sensory stimuli are used to enhance cognitive abilities and encourage social interaction.
