Located on the 6th floor of The Tanner Hill in North Point, The Tanner Hill Joyous Circle is designed for individuals aged 60 and above. Personalised rehabilitation plans are developed by experienced physiotherapists and occupation therapists to address each person’s specific needs. Whether focusing on cognitive ability or physical function, the therapists provide attentive care and training guidance to support older adults in regaining independence and daily living skills, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

The Rehabilitation Centre of The Tanner Hill Joyous Circle is equipped with over 210 types advanced equipment. These include weight-supported walking machines, balance training equipment, shockwave and laser therapy tools, cognitive training systems, and functional electrical stimulation with active/passive ergometers. In addition, a dedicated multi-sensory therapy room is also available to provide sensory-based functional treatment for individuals with dementia.

Cognitive Ability AssessmentOlder adults in generalEvaluation of suspected dementia is conducted by an occupational therapist, followed by report to medical practitioners for further diagnosis.
Cognitive TrainingOlder adults with cognitive impairment A personalised programme is designed for the individual, incorporating a range of cognitive training activities,  including reality orientation, computerised cognitive training, reminiscence, memory and concentration enhancement, de-institutionalisation and social skill training and sensory integrated therapy. A post-evaluation report is submitted to the individual’s medical practitioner for follow-up.
Pain ReliefPatients suffering from annoying painAnalgesic treatment, spinal care and prevention of recurrence are provided through traction therapy, manual therapy, acupuncture, electric therapy, and stretching and muscle strengthening. This approach aims to relieve pain and help patients resume normal daily activities.
Neurological RehabilitationPatients with neurological illnessComprehensive rehabilitation, including physical mobility and functional training, acupuncture and prevention of complications. This is designed to help patients, especially those suffering from stroke and Parkinson’s disease, overcome obstacles in daily life.
Cardiopulmonary System Rehabilitation TherapyPatients with cardiopulmonary disease and postoperative patientsPhysiotherapeutic treatments include soothing and proper breathing methods, removal of sputum blockage, reduction of complications like risk of pneumonia, and enhance cardiopulmonary function to speed up the healing progress.
Upper Limb and Hand Function RehabilitationPatients with congenital or traumatic hand diseaseA clinical assessment and an evaluation of computer equipment checking are conducted to design a complete treatment that suits patient's situation and living needs.

*The Day Care and Training Centre is also located on the same floor, offering convenient access for older adults to receive professional day-time training and care services before or after their rehabilitation therapy sessions.

  • The therapist uses appropriate assessment tools based on the individual's condition. A brief professional report is provided following the assessment.

Chest Physiotherapy (Only Available for Residents at The Tanner Hill Joyous Home)$950(25mins per session)

 

  1. Service hours: 9 am to 12:45 pm  & 1:45 pm to 6 pm  (closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays)

  2. Special discounts are offered to long lease tenants of The Tanner Hill, long-stay residents of The Tanner Hill Joyous Home – Residential Care Home for the Elderly, and regular members of the Day Care and Training Centre.

  3. For enquiries regarding fees for other treatments services, please consult our on-site physiotherapist / occupational therapist.

  4. A referral from a Hong Kong registered medical practitioner (general practitioner or specialist) is required prior to receiving physiotherapy services. The doctor's referral letter must be issued within the preceding six months and bear the doctor's signature and stamp to be considered valid.

  5. The Hong Kong Housing Society reserves the right to make final adjustments to its service offerings and pricing. Fees and charges may be revised without prior notice.

Contact the Rehabilitation Centre’s physiotherapist or occupational therapist by phone to arrange an in-person consultation and learn more about the service details.

Individuals seeking physiotherapy services are required to present a valid referral letter. This letter must be issued, signed, and stamped by a Hong Kong registered medical practitioner (general practitioner or specialist) within the preceding 6 months.

03

Following an assessment by the physiotherapist or occupational therapist, the applicant may commence the relevant rehabilitation or cognitive training programme.
